How can you support and prepare your child to thrive in an age of uncertainty and constant change?

Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about, but the hardest thing in the world to do”. - Matt Walsh

Becoming a parent changes one’s life completely. Not only are you responsible for taking care of your child, but guiding and educating them through life too. Parenting does not come with a manual on how to do everything from birth through adulthood. It might sometimes be overwhelming even for the most seasoned parents.

Having worked with thousands of  adults, children, educators and families over the past 22 years through various methodologies, I have discovered many creative tools to help learners take positive actions to focus the mind and body in our highly distracting world today.

These 1 - 2-minute pleasure breaks can be enjoyed throughout the day to increase motivation, happiness, satisfaction, self - regulation and success.

Below are some examples of these approaches.

Mindful Listening

  • Sounds are everywhere and all around us, the buzz of a mobile phone, the beeping of the microwave oven, washing machine or traffic.
  • Just like the noise inside our minds, external noises often go unnoticed. Practicing mindful listening trains our brains to concentrate on particular sounds.
  • Regular practice helps us focus our attention on sounds in a thoughtful way, increasing social awareness and effective communication skills.
